Plan first, don't 'retrofit': delivering on the promise of the NDIS for Aboriginal and CALD people in NSW
The NDIS aims to deliver social and economic independence for people with disability, and enable their independent choice and control of their own lives. In this report NCOSS looks closely at how the NDIS trials have delivered on this promise for Aboriginal and CALD people in NSW, and what practical measures can be taken in the wider roll-out to overcome the entrenched disadvantage and potential disconnection that is commonly experienced by people from Aboriginal and CALD backgrounds in NSW.
