About the event

What to expect?

Hear from members of the NSW Government, NCOSS and other social sector leaders about their visions for a strong, healthy and connected NSW in 2027.

Why?

2026 has been tough to say the least. The intensifying cost of living is reshaping who experiences poverty. Close to a third of people living below the poverty line in NSW say their financial stress has only emerged in the past few years.

Strong communities depend on the services that keep people housed, safe, healthy, connected and supported. Yet, high inflation, soaring fuel prices and housing insecurity are pushing more people – and the services that exist to support them – to the brink.

That’s why in the lead up to the 2027 State election, NCOSS are calling on the NSW Government to sign our pledge to:

  1. Invest in community services
  2. Invest in homes
  3. Invest in prevention before crises occur

Investing in people as part of early intervention and prevention will cost governments less in the long-term, while investing in services provides long-term sector sustainability.

Join us as we make the case for investing in the people of New South Wales.

RSVP to join us on Tuesday 10 November. Morning tea will be provided.
