We are seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from applicants who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander to fill an independent position on the NADA Board of Directors. This is your chance to contribute to the reduction of AOD related harms to NSW communities through a sustainable and connected sector that delivers evidence-based programs.
As a Board Member, you’ll help guide the work of NADA and ensure Aboriginal voices and perspectives are part of our decisions and planning. You’ll attend six meetings a year and share your knowledge and ideas to strengthen our sector.
This is a volunteer (unpaid) position with the opportunity to complete training on Board governance. NADA provides an induction and support for new Board Members and will arrange and cover travel costs associated with your participation on the Board.
Who we are looking for:
You identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
You are passionate about improving health and wellbeing for Aboriginal people
You have experience in leadership or governance
You have an understanding of the alcohol and other drug (or broader community services) sector
Experience on a Board or committee is also a benefit in the role.
