About New Beginnings:
WHOS New Beginnings is an award-winning women’s only AOD residential service, located within the beautiful grounds of Broughton Hall Lilyfield. Information on WHOS services can be found at our website.
About the position:
This position is focused on supporting women by providing high-quality phone assessments, coordinating planned admissions, and maintaining strong working relationships with partner services.

Position criteria:
- Qualification in AOD/Community Services/Mental Health or related field
- Ability to work with women experiencing AOD related issues
- Ability to collaborate with others and identify new and strengthen existing referral pathways
- Ability to build rapport with women seeking support and conduct comprehensive AOD assessments
- Experience liaising with a range of stakeholders for example specialist women’s services, GP’s/medical clinics, withdrawal management services, community services, and the criminal justice system
- Knowledge of the Therapeutic Community model of treatment
- Ability to co-ordinate admissions in a timely manner.
- Ability to self-manage workload, as well as being part of a supportive team
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts if required
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate/CPR or willingness to obtain same
- Knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation
