Building leadership in our sector
NCOSS and Chief Executive Women (CEW) are collaborating to offer 15 leaders from NCOSS member organisations the opportunity to participate in CEW’s Leaders Program.
The aim of the scholarship program is to provide high quality leadership development opportunities to women leaders in the NSW social service sector.
Each year, five women across NSW will be selected to attend the program in Sydney. The program will be delivered over two blocks, with three days in each block.

NCOSS’s Harrison-Church Women’s Leadership Scholarship is being funded through a philanthropic donation to NCOSS, made possible by a legacy from Chris Harrison-Church.

Creating cross-sector collaboration
The scholarship is open to small and medium-sized organisations, which are historically underfunded and unable to afford this level of investment in leadership development.
The scholarship also aims to help sector leaders build networks, especially outside the sector. Attending the CEW Leaders Program will provide expanded opportunities to meet other leaders, develop peer support relationships, and potentially open doors for cross-sector collaboration and service innovation.
Applications for 2027 scholarship round
Applications for the 2027 intake will open towards the end of 2026. If you would like to be notified when applications open, please add your contact details on this form.
We strongly encourage applications from women leaders based in rural, regional and remote NSW and First Nations leaders (especially those who work for NCOSS member organisations that are ACCOs or ACCHOs).
