NCOSS sector forum: The impacts of surging fuel costs

The rapid escalation in fuel cost and supply challenges is increasingly impacting social, community and disability organisations, and the people and communities across NSW we support.

NCOSS is convening an online sector forum for the community and disability sector, and related health services, to learn more about the current and emerging issues facing the sector, frontline service delivery, individuals and families. Please register at the link below.

The purpose of the online sector forum is twofold:
1. To ensure NCOSS can share these issues and suggested policy mechanisms directly into relevant NSW Government Ministers, senior officials and decision makers.

2. Coordinate advocacy across our membership and the wider sector.

Questions for discussion during the online forum include:

• What are the current or likely impacts to your services and general operations?
• Are there particular locations or cohorts that are more affected/particularly vulnerable?
• Is your organisation developing contingency plans to scale back service delivery if the fuel disruptions continue or worsen?
• What immediate assistance from Government is most needed? By communities and the sector?
