Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre (LWCHC) provides health care, counselling and health education to women over 14 living in Sydney’s inner west, inner city and southwestern suburbs.
Many of our services are funded through Sydney Local Health District, NSW Health and focus on women who are currently experiencing disadvantage; however, some services are accessible to a wider range of women.
About the Opportunity:
Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is seeking an experienced female* Receptionist and Data Compliance employee for 21 hours per week. This is a permanent part-time position. We highly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to apply for this job.
The receptionist role (14 hours per week) is to facilitate efficient and effective front-line services and assist the doctors and other professionals in the functioning of the clinics and services.
The Data compliance aspect of the role (7 hours per week) is to manage and maintain data collection systems and to generate statistical reports to assist the Centre in its bi-annual reporting on KPIs to the funder.
Successful employment at Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is dependent upon completion of orientation at a standard where minimal assistance is required.
Classification: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4, Pay Point 1, with above Award conditions including the option to salary package.
Rate of Pay: $44.58 per hour
Hours: 9am to 5.00pm (7 hour days)
Essential criteria
- Experience in reception and administrative duties.
- Proven ability in data collection, analysis and reporting, including tracking KPIs.
- Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks at once.
- High level of customer service.
- Experience with medical software e.g. Best Practice.
- Proficient computer software skills, particularly in excel.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrated ability to respond to women in crisis.
- Experience of the women’s health sector or knowledge of women’s health services.
- Experience with specific groups serviced by LWCHC such as adolescent, migrant and refugee, aged, CALD communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and LGBTQIA+ and non-binary persons.
- Experience in sensitively working with women who may be vulnerable and experiencing the effects of trauma.
- Knowledge in basic infection control, safe handling of pathology, handling feedback and a range of behaviours.
- Experience in driving improvements based on data-driven insights.
