NCOSS welcomes Secure Jobs and Funding Certainty announcement

The NSW Council of Social Service (NCOSS) welcomes the NSW Government’s delivery on its election commitment of the Secure Jobs and Funding Certainty agreement for the community sector.  We applaud the Government’s commitment to stabilise and reinvigorate the sector that has long experienced conditions that didn’t match the increase and complexity of community needs.

Following collaboration between the NSW Government, the community sector and the Australian Services Union, the agreement will help address the burden of increased cost and a workforce which is under resourced but continues to deliver every day on the growing demand of services. Thriving not-for-profit organisations are critical to the future productivity and wellbeing of our communities.

We look forward to continuing the implementation of these reforms to strengthen service viability and long-term sustainability of the sector.
