NCOSS held its 90th birthday at the Australian Museum in Sydney on 28 October. The event celebrated 90 years of NCOSS and the vital contributions and hope our sector delivers to NSW communities.

Hosted by Tracey Spicer AM, it was wonderful to see so many people attend this special event, including Premier Chris Minns, Minister Kate Washington MP, Minister Jodie Harrison MP, Damien Tudehope MLC, The Hon Natasha Maclaren-Jones MLC, Abigail Boyd MLC, former Federal Minister Linda Burney, NCOSS Board members and former NCOSS Directors Eva Cox, Joanna Quilty, and Gary Moore.

The event began with Melissa Stubbings and Shane Laws giving a Welcome to Country, followed by NCOSS CEO Cara Varian speaking about the history and impact of NCOSS, then Premier Chris Minns delivering the keynote address.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Excellence, Vision and Advocacy Awards (EVAs), and we were so pleased to be able to honour the incredible work taking place across our sector. We were honoured the social justice icon and former NCOSS Director, Eva Cox leant her name to the awards. Read more about the EVA Awards here.
