Way forward to inclusive service system: Challenges for people with disability with closure of ADHC
From June 30 this year, NSW will no longer have a dedicated Minister or Department responsible for disability issues.
NCOSS has released a report outlining the challenges the closure of the Department of Ageing Disability and Homecare (ADHC) will pose to people with disability across the whole of Government, in areas as broad as health, justice, housing and transport. Our report argues that the whole of Government response is critical to ensure outcomes for people with disability improve as we transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and that NSW remains an inclusive society.
