The opportunity

We are seeking a Program Coordinator MyTime to join our village to support the planning, coordination, facilitation and administration of the MyTime Program.

About MyTime

MyTime support groups are a national initiative for parents and carers of children aged 0-18 years with disability or a chronic medical condition. MyTime is an opportunity for members to socialise and share ideas with other parents and carers. The program helps parents find out about available community support and meet others who understand the rewards and intensity of the caring role.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Facilitate regular MyTime groups.
    Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of MyTime staff members.
    Provide support to MyTime facilitators to effectively plan, establish, and facilitate MyTime groups, consistently working towards achieving set KPIs to meet organisational goals.
    Support the engagements of service delivery partners and local MyTime communities.
    Support the engagements with relevant professionals to promote programs and encourage referrals.
    Coordinate Program evaluation, data collection and reporting activities as guided by the Program Lead to ensure the program is being delivered
    Support and contribute to program development to improve the quality of
    Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    A NSW Working with Children check is required

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in facilitating groups in peer support settings.
    Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating programs / projects
    Proven experience in establishing and maintaining relevant
    Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger team
    Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    Demonstrated competency in Microsoft 365 programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    A current Working with Children (Employee) Check, or a willingness to obtain this

 

Desirable Criteria

The below will be highly regarded

Willingness to travel to visit groups
Understanding of the Early Years and Disability sector
Demonstrated experience working with families and children from vulnerable backgrounds
Sound understanding of the role playgroups have in improving outcomes for children, families, and communities
Understanding of the issues impacting families with children with disabilities
Knowledge and understanding of Program Planning
A current driver’s licence

Other Information

  • 18 Months Fixed Term Part time contract
    22.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days depending on candidate.
    Various locations around Sydney
