Qualifications
Academic qualifications or relevant experience in Social/Community Welfare/Aged Care
Essential Criteria
· Demonstrable project management skills and experience
· Demonstrable experience in working with volunteers and linking volunteers with clients
· Demonstrable Project evaluation and report writing skills
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with My Aged Care and the Community Home Support Program (CHSP) including client assessment procedures and National Standards
-Demonstrated experience in working with frail older people
-Demonstrated experience in facilitating/organising/ presenting client groups and outings
-Computer literate
· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
· Understanding and commitment to work health and safety and cultural diversity
· Vehicle with Comprehensive car insurance and a currant driver’s license
Desirable Criteria
· Demonstrable experience in working with a community-based management committee
· Experience with DEX (the Data Exchange)
· Knowledge of Hawkesbury area

Key Responsibilities
As Neighbour Aid Coordinator, you will:
Plan and Deliver Services
- Assess consumer referrals and develop care plans.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and reassessments to ensure needs are met.
- Advocate for service improvements and address gaps in community support.
Manage and Develop Volunteers
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers who play a critical role in delivering our services.
- Provide ongoing support and ensure volunteers adhere to care plans and safety standards.
Build Networks and Partnerships
- Collaborate with community organizations, government representatives, and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Represent RCSI in forums, meetings, and community events.
Maintain and Enhance Programs
- Oversee program evaluation and development.
- Manage service budgets and compliance reporting.
- Promote the program through community engagement and media initiatives.

ABOUT US
Richmond Community Services Inc (RCSI) is a small community organisation with a big heart. We are based in Richmond Neighbourhood Centre and provide services to residents of the Hawkesbury Community. Our vision is MAKING A DIFFERENCE to the lives of people in our community. We do this through the provision of quality services and activities that enable strength, inclusion, and respect, while reducing social and financial disadvantage and distress.
The organisations main focus is on activities for children, youth, parents and carers, but there are also many activities for adults of all ages. Our Neighbour Aid project provides support for our seniors. The Neighbourhood Centre team provides a community support service offering assistance to residents in need. In addition to paid staff, the centre has many volunteers in a variety of roles.
The governing body of RCSI is a volunteer Management Committee whose members have a strong commitment to locally based community services. RCSI receives its main funding from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and the NSW Department of Health and Ageing (DOHA).
