The Gender Centre Inc: is a leading not-for-profit organisation supporting the transgender, gender diverse and gender questioning people of NSW for 41 years.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dedicated Caseworker with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Domestic & Family violence to join a multi-disciplinary, dedicated team based in Marrickville to provide specialised client focused case management to transgender and gender diverse survivors of domestic and family violence.

The caseworker will address the complex social and legal needs of the client including safe referrals, general assistance, risk assessment safety planning, and support in attending Court as well as other services not specified above.

The position requires travel between the office and other locations on a frequent basis as a normal part of duties.

The Domestic & Family Violence worker works closely with the Homelessness case management team and DFV therapist and is responsible for establishing and providing a comprehensive range of case work initiatives to survivors of Domestic and Family Violence.

This position supports flexible working arrangements with 1 day per week working remotely and flexible working hours to ensure a positive work-life balance.

CLASSIFICATION: SACS Level 4 Pay point 1

SALARY: As per award

HOURS: 28 hours per week, with preparedness to work flexible hours in order to ccommodate Client service provision and service events. 1 to 2 years contract, 56 hours per fortnight
