This is the second Mapping Economic Disadvantage in NSW Report that we have produced supported by the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (NATSEM).
The first report was launched in 2019, drawing on the 2016 Census data. This report provides an update using 2021 Census data and analyses the differences between 2016 and 2021. It provides an in-depth break-down of poverty rates by demographic cohorts and geography.
The research breaks down poverty rates and shows us where people living with disadvantage live and who they are, including their age, sex, employment, family arrangements, and housing tenure.
