Service NSW 'Cost of Living' Service update
During our bi-monthly Forum of Non-Government Agencies (FONGA) on Friday, 7 June 2019, Service NSW presented on the Cost of Living service, a NSW Government initiative making it easier for households to access more than 70 rebates and savings.
The Cost of Living website is a one-stop shop where individuals can check their eligibility and access the savings and rebates available. Service NSW is also providing a free one hour face-to-face appointment with a Cost of Living Specialist at selected Service NSW centres to anyone who needs help assessing their eligibility and the application process.
More rebates and savings will continue to be added to the website including the recently introduced Energy Switch, which is an easy to use comparison tool that compares both electricity and gas bills to help find a better plan. Other rebates and savings include the two $100 Active Kids vouchers, the $100 Creative Kids voucher, and many others in categories such as driving, transport, health, energy, home, and recreation. The ‘Savings Finder’ tool is an easy way to help find relevant rebates.
To access the Cost of Living service, go to www.service.nsw.gov.au or call 13 77 88 between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm (AEST).
