Rising energy prices hurt people experiencing poverty and disadvantage. As does climate change. At the moment Australia is failing to address either. Change is urgently needed.

Now is the time to ensure the interests of the whole community are captured in this debate – including  people living on low incomes, people experiencing housing stress, people with disability, sole parents, and other groups experiencing disadvantage.

For solutions to be effective the government needs a better understanding of the issues facing the communities you work with.

To this end, ACOSS, Brotherhood of St Laurence, and The Climate Institute are inviting you to a solutions-focused conversation with the community and environment sectors. The results of these consultations will feed into the Federal Government's 2017 Climate Review and COAG Energy Ministers Review, and support others to provide input.

NCOSS will be co-hosting the Sydney forum on Thursday 6 April from 2:30-5:00. Note that a consultation will also run as part of the Forum of Non-Government Agencies (FONGA) meeting on Friday 7 April.
