Childhood overweight and obesity report released
The NSW Legislative Council released its report on childhood overweight and obesity last week. Great to see the report recognise the role structural factors play in determining a child’s weight.
Consistent with our advocacy, the report recommends giving consideration to health issues in urban planning, mapping ‘food deserts’, and investigating how to reduce the cost of organised sport for children. All sectors have a role to play in addressing this issue. Read the full report.
