Improved regulation needed for NFPs to compete in the market
Lucus Ryan in NFPs in the market believes better regulation would help NFPs flourish in competitive markets. He sees that government, in creating markets through processes such as NDIS are yet to create an efficient regulatory regime. Consequently "NFPs are subject to burdensome, out-of-date and unnecessary regulation in many areas." These act as a significant handicap in a competitive market and one which government would never dream of imposing on the private sector.
