NCOSS’ submission to the NSW Fair Trading on the proposed Associations Incorporation Regulation 2016 noted that this was an opportunity to:

  • transfer oversight of NSW “charitable” associations to the ACNC, thus reducing costs and red tape for NSW charitable associations
  • ensure the regulation, notably the Model Constitution is in plain English and any reasonable person is able to comply and not place themselves or their organisations at risk
