Impact of international migration on regional areas

Rural population decline is challenging many regional communities with the loss of working age people, services and capacity as the local population ages. However Regional Australia Institute’s (RAI) recent report Talking Point: The Missing Migrants shows that international migration is driving substantial change for a number of small rural and remote places and has helped reverse this trend.
