The City of Sydney Council has released a draft Social Sustainability Policy and Discussion Paper.  Based on considerable research including their own wellbeing surveys, it outlines their vision, guiding principles and the role of the City in strengthening the well being and resilience of their community.  The policy reflects the research showing “cities that are committed to social justice and inclusion do better – socially, economically, culturally and environmentally, so everyone thrives.” The consultation period closes 12 May.
