Volunteeering is more than just not paying your 'worker'

Justice Connect hosted an event called Volunteering Law: unpaid workers, interns and volunteers on 4 November which will hopefully be repeated in 2016. Till then the basics are available from the Fairwork Ombudsmen - facts about unpaid work, volunteering, vocational placements and unpaid trials. Additional knowledge about managing risks related to unpaid workers and insurance issues, and the requirements for background checks and other screening strategies should also be considered.
