Whistleblower protections - what are enough?

Is your NFP doing enough to protect whistleblowers? The data suggests the answer may well be not enough.  The Whistling While They Work 2 report, based on recent research by Griffith University showed that over a quarter of NFP organisation did not have whistleblower protections in place.  Yet research has established that these protections are critical to good governance, well-functioning teams, and broader social responsibility. A 2014 study from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners found 40 percent of fraud cases were detected by tips from within an organisation.
