NCOSS Policy Officer, Caroline Dimond, spoke at the Central Coast’s International Women’s Day Forum, on 7 March 2017. The forum was hosted by the Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre and focused on women’s economic empowerment in the context of gender equality, as identified by the New Year for Women Campaign.

Caroline was joined by community leaders Bronwyn Chambers (elder in residence at Wollotuka Institute, University of Newcastle), Gail Cottrill (innovation champion and business woman, Open Shutters) and Danielle Habib (Uniting and social activist for women’s, refugee and immigrant rights).

The event was an excellent opportunity to engage with the local community there and hear about the great work being done to progress gender equality in the region.

Thanks to Central Coast Community Women’s Health Centre for inviting us!
