Preparing for the Social Housing Management Transfer tender process
Late last year, the NSW Government announced the Social Housing Management Transfer (SHMT) Program. The Program will transfer responsibility for managing a large quantity of social housing properties to non-government housing providers with an aim to see NGO expertise deliver better outcomes for tenants.
A tender process will open formally on March 2017. If your organisation is an existing registered community housing provider or is capable of registration through the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH), you may wish to consider registering for access to the data room for the process. The data room will provide detailed information about the properties on offer and registration for access is now open.
