National study on donating in Australia

The Federal Department of Social Services commissioned the Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Non-profit Studies along with the Centre for Social Impact and Centre for Corporate Public Affairs at Swinburne to produce Giving Australia 2016. The research is designed to develop an understanding of giving and volunteering patterns and trends to support evidence-based policy development.  In 2016 it has already produced 8 papers including a literature review and background paper and factsheets on volunteering, individual, philanthropic and business giving and how charities fundraise.  More papers are to be released in 2017.
