Social investment must be an investment

The new Government approach to delivering income support to vulnerable Australians, based on New Zealand's model, is evidence based, with a focus on prevention.  Rachel Siewart’s article, Social Services Are About Reducing Inequality, Not Welfare Spend notes research is showing that there is much to be learnt from the New Zealand experience including “We must stay connected to those who exit the system to make sure they meet key wellbeing indicators and are having better life outcomes.”
