NCOSS Deputy CEO appointed

NCOSS is pleased to announce it has appointed John Mikelsons as its new Deputy CEO.

John comes to NCOSS with significant experience working for and advocating with marginalised and vulnerable people and the organisations that deliver services to them.

He has worked for more than 18 years in the government and community sectors in both New South Wales and Queensland, and his experience spans public policy, service delivery and leadership roles in health, community services, youth justice, child safety and industrial relations.

Most recently John served as Executive Director of the Queensland AIDS Council, and he has also worked for our Queensland sister organisation (QCOSS) as Deputy CEO and in other senior roles.

NCOSS CEO Tracy Howe said John’s work to date made him an excellent fit for the organisation.

“I am really excited to start work with John. We’ve already got great plans to build on the respected body of work NCOSS is so well known for and take it into the future,” she said.

John commences in his new role on August 12.
